“Let us lead the market by introducing differentiated artificial intelligence (AI) technologies based on the unrivaled data we have accumulated over a long period.”

Doosan Group Chairman Park Jeong-won made this remark on the 7th (local time) during a visit to CONEXPO 2026, North America’s largest construction equipment exhibition, held in Las Vegas, USA. After touring the exhibition booths of Doosan Bobcat and Doosan Mottrol installed at the venue, Chairman Park also visited the booths of global competitors, closely reviewing the current status of AI-based technologies applied to construction machinery.

On site, Chairman Park showed interest in how AI technologies are being incorporated into the construction equipment market, assessing that, “As the pace of advancement in AI technologies applied to construction equipment and worksites accelerates, the landscape of the construction equipment market—where hardware technology capabilities were once paramount—is changing.”

In line with Chairman Park’s directive, Doosan Bobcat unveiled a brand strategy at this exhibition that segments its compact loader products into a basic, value-oriented model and a “Pro” model equipped with AI technologies. In particular, for the Pro model, the company has established a sales strategy targeting the market by offering, according to customer specifications, functions such as voice recognition control of more than 50 features and autonomous stopping when surrounding obstacles or people are detected.

A Doosan official stated, “The AI technologies disclosed at this event enable even less-experienced operators to achieve productivity levels comparable to those of skilled operators,” adding, “We will continue to strengthen our competitiveness in the construction equipment sector.”
