Lunit, a medical artificial intelligence (AI) company, announced on the 2nd that it will exclusively supply its AI solutions to the regional government breast cancer screening program operated by the Valencian Community in Spain.

Through this contract, Lunit will provide its self-developed mammography AI solution 'Lunit INSIGHT MMG' and 3D breast tomosynthesis AI solution 'Lunit INSIGHT DBT' for the breast cancer screenings operated by the Valencian Community. Lunit and the Valencian Community plan to continue research collaboration to advance early cancer detection and health improvement.

Since last year, the Valencian Community has been considering expanding the annual screening target from the existing 250,000 to 400,000 by incorporating AI into the regional government breast cancer screening program. With a population of approximately 5 million, the Valencian Community is the third largest in population and fourth in economic size among Spain's large autonomous communities, leading in the digital healthcare and AI diagnostic fields.
