The South Korean startup Millennial Works is set to expand into the Asian market, leveraging its local subsidiary in Taiwan established last year.
Millennial Works announced on the 3rd that it has commenced its local market strategy by showcasing a large booth at the '2025 StartSphere Taipei & Fusion Realm Exhibition', organized by the Taipei City Department of Economic Development in Taiwan.
This event, a large-scale international entertainment technology exhibition hosted by the Taipei City Government, was held over three days from the 2nd to the 4th. More than 25 global innovative companies participated, with investors and companies from the Asia-Pacific region, including South Korea, the United States, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and India, gathering to serve as a platform for exchange in all areas of entertainment technology, such as AI-based music production, digital art, immersive video technology, VR/AR experiences, next-generation gaming technology, and digital marketing. Numerous companies related to famous IPs, game development teams, entertainment investors and venture capitalists, international media, and broadcasters participated, making it a stage to observe global entertainment technology trends at a glance.
Millennial Works, specially invited by the StartSphere organizers, is showcasing its self-developed AI photo booth and various technologies in the 'Interactiverse Zone', and conducted an on-site demonstration of the AI photo booth with Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an. It is reported that during this process, they received numerous concrete collaboration proposals to expand B2B orders from IP-related companies, technology firms, and entertainment companies.

During the event, Millennial Works held formal investment meetings with two local venture capital firms operating cross-border funds focused on Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea, and discussed specific investment plans for business expansion encompassing the three Asian countries. The investment firms highly valued Millennial Works' proven business model and technological capabilities in both the South Korean and Japanese markets, expressing strong investment interest in the simultaneous expansion strategy across the three countries.
Jo Ki-hwan, Deputy Vice President of the initial investor Pacemakers, directly discovered Taiwanese local venture capital suitable for Millennial Works in AI and cross-border areas and conducted 1:1 on-site meetings. He is laying the groundwork for building local networks and expanding partnerships in connection with the Taiwanese institution Startup Island Taiwan.
Song Yu-sang, CEO of Millennial Works, stated, "Through participation in StartSphere Taipei, we are directly confirming the potential of the Taiwanese market and the local demand for our technology," adding, "We will gradually pursue business expansion across Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, using Taiwan as a base, and prove the global competitiveness of Korean AI technology, verified in South Korea and Japan, throughout Asia."
