Samsung Electronics announced on the 12th that it has once again demonstrated its global technological capabilities at CES 2026. Its new product, the Galaxy Z Trifold, won both the Best Overall Winner and Best Mobile Tech categories in the “Best of CES 2026” awards selected by U.S. IT media outlet CNET.

CNET is an official partner of CES and evaluates exhibited products in cooperation with the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) and around 40 tech experts. Based on criteria such as innovation, consumer convenience, and technological completeness, it selects 63 products across 22 categories, and then chooses one product as the overall best.

CNET evaluated the Galaxy Z Trifold as a fully hybrid device that combines a smartphone and a tablet. It highly rated the product for integrating practicality and sophisticated design within a slim form factor (referring to the shape and thickness of the device structure). It concluded that Samsung Electronics has advanced foldable technology to the next level and suggested a future direction for the evolution of mobile devices.

In the “Best TV or Home Theater” category, Samsung Electronics’ OLED TV S95H lineup received the award. CNET stated that the product’s brightness has improved by 35% compared with its predecessor and assessed it as one of the most outstanding OLED TVs on display at CES. It introduced the product as the first Samsung OLED TV to adopt burn-in prevention technology, minimizing picture quality degradation even during long hours of viewing the same screen.

Users can enjoy approximately 5,000 artworks from the Samsung Art Store in ultra-high definition, and the TV also supports a Zero Gap Wall Mount that allows installation completely flush with the wall.

In the “Best Home Audio” category, Samsung’s new speaker Music Studio 5 received the award. The product was designed by French furniture designer Erwan Bouroullec, who also designed the lifestyle TV The Serif.

The speaker body features an art-like design and supports both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, allowing users to listen to music with ease.

Samsung Electronics also won awards in a total of 27 categories in the CES Innovation Awards presented by CES organizer the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). By segment, this includes 12 in video display, 4 in home appliances, 3 in mobile, 7 in semiconductors, and 1 in the Harman division.

Samsung Electronics is being assessed as having proven next-generation technology leadership at this year’s CES by demonstrating innovation across all business areas, from foldable phones to displays, audio, and semiconductors.
